About this rug
A large room-size Kashan in a soft, light palette that sits easily in contemporary interiors. A delicate ivory field carries an open floral medallion in powder blue, taupe and rose, surrounded by flowering vines that run to a narrow, understated border. Kashan, one of the great carpet cities of central Persia, is known for its balance of fine drawing and durable wool, and this carpet shows both: a calm, airy composition with the depth of hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation.
