About this rug

A classic Isfahan in deep crimson. Beneath a navy and ivory prayer-arch, an ornate vase rises through the field, surrounded by birds, palmettes and fine scrolling vines, with a central ivory and navy medallion. The navy main border is woven with paired vases and blossoms. Virgin wool on a silk foundation at 552 knots per square inch gives the drawing the crisp detail Isfahan is famous for.
