Very Fine Rare Bijar
Originating in northwest Persia, the rugs of Bijar have nicknamed the Iron Rugs and are among the most solid and highest quality hand-knotted rugs in the world. They are primarily made by Kurdish weavers. The rugs produced in this region are very dense and thick, so that they are almost indestructible, which is achieved by special binding and knotting techniques.
